A PTS, Power Transfer Switch, is a device that can take input power from two source, like two UPSes or two mains circuits, and switch between the inputs extremely quickly if the active primary source fails. These can provide a sort of redundant power to single power supply devices and are sometimes used in Anvil! intelligent availability platform.
