Clustering
Alteeve Wiki :: How To :: Clustering |
There are currently one paper and four tutorials in various stages of development that may help you in building a cluster.
2-Node Clusters
EL5 - Cluster Stable 2
- 2-Node EL5 Cluster - This tutorial is back under active development. It should be used for any EL5 based cluster (RHEL, CentOS, etc).
- TLUG Talk: An Introduction to Clustering - A talk on Cluster Stable 2 clustering to the Toronto Linux Users Group on .
EL6 - Cluster Stable 3
- Red Hat Cluster Service 3 Tutorial - This is an introduction to RHCS Cluster 3 on EL6. This tutorial is on hold while I finish the EL5 paper.
Fedora - Cluster Stable 3
I experimented with Fedora as a means to begin learning Cluster Stable 3. I would not recommend using Fedora as a host OS in a production environment! If you wish to use Cluster 3, please purchase a Red Hat subscription and use RHEL 6. If that is not an option, then please stick with Cluster 2 until CentOS 6.x is released.
- Two Node Fedora 14 Cluster - Abandoned when I got my Red Hat ISV and switched to RHEL 6. Still the most complete paper.
- Two Node Fedora 13 Cluster - Abandoned when Fedora 13 came out.
